6S is a workplace organisation productivity tool that lays the foundations for Lean activities. Borne under the umbrella of Lean 6S is an essential tool in the Lean toolkit. Each 'S' focuses on ensuring that the workplace is organised into a highly efficient and effective area. Designed to support the relentless pursuit to identify and systematically eliminate waste, effective 6S implementation can reduce, and perhaps even eliminate, time wasted looking for things by better organisation and highlight missing pieces of vital equipment e.g. medical apparatus, files and folders. The course looks at each of the 6S's in turn, offering examples of how it can be used in practice. Implementing 6S will increase efficiency, boost morale and significantly improve the safety of your work environment.
